Willey recorded six hymns, some with musical notation, on the first fifteen pages of this volume. On pages 17 through 63 are hymns written in by Edward D. Andrews. The rest of the volume is either blank or has pages torn out. A note by Andrews states: "early Shaker songs of various and typical kinds. Selected, with or without notes, as basis for ms. The note is signed and dated January 1935.
